For me fitness started at the ripe old age of 8, throwing hay on my family’s farm. After a couple of years, I could tell a noticeable difference in how my body looked and how it performed in sports. From then on, I was hooked. Anything and everything I could do to build my body I was trying to do every single chance I got.
Fast forward a few years into high school, I was blessed enough to have an amazing strength coach for football who really understood the human body and how it preforms. Not all strength coaches are built the same. My coach was able to teach me the external as well as internal benefits of weight training. Fitness is an avenue of living a pain free life to the absolute fullest.
Not thinking twice before playing a sport, not having to grunt and grown when I bend down to play with kids or grandkids, being able to go on trips at an older age pain free.
What fitness means to me is not being limited to anything.
